Avantika Sinha, a gifted semi-classical vocalist from Pune, captivates audiences with her rich, mesmerizing voice and deep emotional expression. A talented artist with great potential, she received her initial training in Hindustani Classical vocal music in the Patiala gharana in Kolkata under the expert guidance of the late Smt. Aarti Bagchi ( disciple of Late Ustaad Munnawar Ali Khan sahib) at Pt. Jnan Prokash Ghosh s Academy of Music and Dance-Saurabh and completed her Sangeet Kriya Visharad.
Due to her passion for semi-classical music, she has thereafter evolved primarily into a thumri and dadra performerunder the tutelage of the eminent Dr. Sanjeev Shende ( senior disciple of Shobha Gurtu), who is a leading exponent of thumri-dadra rendition. She is also guided by well-known and highly accomplished classical vocalist Dr. Madhuri Joshi.
Apart from being a semi,Classical vocalist specialising in the genre of Thumri and Dadra of the Banaras gharana, Avantika Sinha performs ghazals, bhajans and Sufi too and has conducted workshops/ lecdems in these areas of music too.
Instrumental in starting the department of Introduction to Hindustani Classical Music at the Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts, Pune, Avantika is a Visiting Faculty there.
She has performed before select audiences in several cities including Kolkata, Pune, New Delhi, Mumbai, Patnaamong others , where her impressive stage presence, and expressive rendition of thumris, dadras, kajris, chaitis, horis of the Benares gharana have been greatly appreciated.

Have conducted such workshops in the past on Sufi philosophy, poetry and music , workshops on Thumri Dadra, on Folk music , etc at private events in Pune, at the Symbiosis college for the students and it was very well received by the audience everywhere.

Avantika has recently started a new venture Dharohar- Our Cultural Heritage which is an endeavour by her to showcase and celebrate the rich and varied artforms of India by hosting events, baithaks .
Avantika is now based in Pune, and continues to pursue her music under the guidance of her gurus while performing on available platforms before a discerning audience.
